Final Fantasy IV for DS

I’ve had it lying around for ages, but I now finally have it slotted into my DS and ready to go. It’s been remastered, and damn is it a sexy, sexy game.

My first go at it was on an emulator, since I was too young to own, touch or ever play with a SNES. I’d clocked a good amount of hours and levelled my party up to 50 or so, I think. I’d just gotten my ship underground and Cid died… and then when I booted up my game again in the emulator, the save file corrupted and suddenly I’d reverted back by a few million hours and my team was only hitting the 20s, level-wise.

Same thing happened to me when I was playing Final Fantasy VIII. Just as I had back then, when the save file corruption nonsense happened to me, I screamed profanities and chucked the game to a lonely corner, sulking. Hey, gaming takes a lot out time, energy, and patience out of me. I can only endure so much grinding, and boy, when this crap happens, all I want to do is throw a tantrum and demand all my investments back.

Anyway, Dark Knight Cecil is seriously cool. I’m just digging the unique armour designs for all the people loitering around in the game. Bad ass.

ETA: Oh yeah, spoilers. Sorry, but dude. This game is ancient. It’s like complaining that Aerith died.
