I really want to play Raidou
I thought it would be nice to talk about other games for a change.
I actually had played Devil Summoner: Raidou Kuzunoha vs. The Soulless Army and I was really into it. Unfortunately, the CD kept skipping and finally, when I finally went to buy a new one after playing through chapter one very thoroughly… they stopped selling it. Which I find insane because I got my hands on Rogue Galaxy and Tales of the Abyss and those games are relatively fuckold.
But Raidou was really great - I loved the visuals and the music and especially the noir post-war Japan feel to the entire game. But of course, what I loved best was his Hat. That’s right. Hat. It is so spectacular that it deserves to be a proper noun. (And seriously, even in the peg-version of Raidou’s character on the world map, he maintains his Hat. You don’t see it on any other peg-character in SMT). The boy wears it into the hot spring/public bath, for god’s sake. I love this game and its quirkiness so much.
Okay, will attempt to rediscover this game in stores.
